This is the third of Jerry’s books that I’ve read (the previous two being science fiction) but this, a tale of growing up in Central Florida in the 50s and 60s, is my favorite yet. Jerry is a great storyteller, his characters are wonderfully described and his writing is so enjoyable to read. If you read Stand by Me or even Huckleberry Finn then I think you’ll love this.
